Quality system

Activities of laboratories and testing shops has been accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (CAI) according to the standards ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

Quality of works and services provided by the company is ensured by the Quality control system implemented in accordance with the standard ČSN EN ISO 9001:2000, which was certified by the accreditation company RW TÜV for the field "Development and production of metallurgical, foundry, machinery and automation products, research, consultancy and testing."

The system of environmental management has been certified according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 14001 (RW TÜV).

Specialists of the Laboratories and testing shops can make evaluation of materials for nuclear power engineering on the basis of the licence issued by the Institute of technical inspection (ITI) for “Testing of basic materials, welded joints and weld deposits according to the § 1 par. 3 of the by-law for evaluation of their conditions and service life " and "Issuing of test reports about inspection of material quality."

Laboratories and testing shops of VÚHŽ a.s. are member of the Czech Testing Shops and Laboratories Association (CTLA ) with authorisation to use the seal "Testing shops with activities acknowledged by the CTLA.“

A Certification body accredited by the CAI according to the standard ČSN EN 45 011 has been established within the company. It is oriented on evaluation of quality of products from metallurgical industry, foundries and related industries. Material tests and analyses necessary for these activities are performed by the Laboratories and testing shops.

Services aimed at protection against radiation are realised in accordance with the requirements of so called “nuclear” act No. 13/2002 Coll. and according to the valid decisions of the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB).
